First time Maryland Home Buyers = $7500 Closing Help Available!

Did you hear that the first-time homebuyer's credit was over? 

It was true ... but now there's a newFirst Time Home Buyers Credit FHLB (Federal Home Loan Banking) grant which is a program designed for first-time homebuyers and was just released on March 1, 2011.   To qualify for up to $7,500 in closing cost and downpayment assistance, you must not have owned a home in the last three years.  Other requirements include the location of the house which must be in Maryland, DC, Virginia, or North Carolina.  The borrower only needs to use $1500 of his or her own money toFirst Time Home Buyers Credit receive the $7,500 or may use as little as $500 to receive $2,500 assistance!  Household size is considered when determining total household income for qualification purposes.  The homebuyer must complete a telephone consumer credit counseling class and must reside in the home for a minimum of five years in order for the grant to be forgiven!
