The area is adjacent to the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area with thousands of acres of parkland, streams, walking paths and verdant woodlands. Howard County public schools are ranked among the best schools in the State of Maryland. The children who live in the Hobbit's Glen neighborhood are districted to attend Longfellow Elementary, Harper's Choice Middle, and Wilde Lake High Schools.
